Levi got a bonus at work...

So we got a swing set! It has been at Sam's club and every time we are there we are eyeing it! They had the same one last year and we were eyeing it then too, but it was just not the right time. All the reviews say the same thing: It is great when put together, but you have to love your kids very much to take on the undertaking of putting it together... which is what Levi and I are planning to do, so I suppose we really love our kids! It says it takes 2 men at 20 man hours a piece... so I suppose it will be a few weeks before Levi and I are done! Wish us luck! I will post pictures at the ribbon cutting ceremony!

Oh my heck! That has GOT to be the neatest thing I have ever seen! Heck, I'd play out there for hours & I'm old!

As if you don't have enough going on! You should hire a couple of day workers to do it - I think it'd be worth the money! I would LOVE something like this for my kids!! We'll come visit when you get it set up.

Levi and I are pretty handy... but I told him the only way we can keep our sanity is to swear we will only do a little bit at a time. Tomorrow is stormy and after that we are going to have some wonderful weather... so we will work on it outside while we play with the kids. But yeah, I agree, it is going to be a bear! You know Levi and I though, we do not stay still for long!

Plus, Levi said he was thinking about how his parents kept their sanity with 8 kids. He said he realized that in the backyard they always had things to play on like a trampoline and pool. We have a trampoline and a swing set and a community pool. Plus our back hill makes a tremendous slip n slide!

Oh boy. Colin saw me looking at this and thinks it is the coolest thing in the world. He really really wants to go to your house when it is done (or anytime! I think he wants to play with Lettie some more!)

When the going gets tough and you think you'll never get it done, look at what this dad did:

or this one:

Ok, my geekness is showing again. Maybe I'm trying to overcompensate for the passing of Master Gygax.

James- I could not see the 1st one, but the 2nd one was so cute! I doubt I could do it... but it is cute none-the-less. You need to make one, just paint it pink instead!

I put a space in there to break up the address so it all shows up (hopefully).

If that doesn't work, just Google search "Battlemech Treehouse". The 6th link is the one I'm using above. The other links are to forums with a topic discussing that webpage.

I'll get my brother and dad to help me with the tank. My brother is/was a tanker (he's at Fort Bragg now transferring to Civil Affairs) and my dad was in charge of fixing tanks and etc for 30 years. I know several people at battlecorps.com that would love to see a pink tank (stories already abound).

Amelia will probably get an airplane instead. Ground-bound, of course. Don't know what kind yet; I need to start looking around or come up with my own idea. They did the B-17s and B-29s out here, so I might do one of them.

That is such a cool swing set! When Ellie saw it she said "I go play there please?" So she agrees, that is one cool play area! Good luck with putting it together!
