'Twas the night before Halloween...

And all through the house... the mommy was busy...
... she gutted 12 pumpkins.
7 for each kid from the mountains
+
2 from the pumpkin patch the Kindergarteners went to
+
3 we accidentally loaded up in our van in the mountains that belonged to Chad, Wyatt, & Elliott!
=
12

... She was a mess!
It was worth it though because the kids had a lot of fun!
Jovie took her pumpkin carving (or should I say her poking holes in the pumpkining) VERY seriously!
I just let them have their pumpkins and decorated them as they wanted... even if that meant poking lots of holes in them! They loved it and that is all that matters! Lettie's finished product!
Silas' first pumpkin ever! He designed it himself!
Yonas hard ar work planning out his pumpkin's face!
Nolan cutting into his pumpkin!
Levi helping Ruby out!
Her finished product! She was so proud!
Crazy Nolan!
Practicing his monster face for Halloween!
Yonas trying to make the same face as his pumpkin! The mouth ended up off center, so I just told him it looked like it was smirking! Then Mommy had a whole other project to work on...
But of course it ended up being harder than it should have been!
Why is Jovie smirking?
Because as Mommyw as giving Nolan his Halloween mohawk for his Stripe costume... she decided it would be a good time for mom to multi-task. She was a barber AND a horsie!
Man she is a stinker!
So once the kids were in bed... Mommy worked until 1:30 in the morning.
Cleaning up...
And making costumes!
Here is a pic from 1:00am.
Callie's Little Orphan Annie dress!
She had a red dress that I altered with the white accents!
And Nolan's Stripe Ears!
I have to toot my own horn on this one! These are pretty good coming from a woman who NEVER sews!
And for good measure Mommy made Halloween cupcakes during nap time the next day!
I bought chocolate eyes and then used a bunch of leftover candies to make the faces! I think most of the candy was Christmas and Easter candy from last year!

Pretty cool, eh?
I had a good time doing everything... but now I am exhausted!
Twas' the day after Halloween and all through the house...
the Mommy was sleeping,
like a dead mouse!
